ACETYL DIPEPTIDE-1 CETYL ESTER

Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester is the INCI name for the peptide N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosyl-L-Arginine Hexadecyl Ester. This is a neurotransmitter-inhibiting peptide. (1) Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester promotes the synthesis of biologically active peptides, which actively reduce inflammatory reactions. The peptide thus alleviates burning sensations on the skin and inflammation that can occur due to exposure to heat, contact with certain skin-irritating substances, or mechanical stress. (1-2) Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester can also promote the formation of important proteins in the epidermis, thereby helping to improve the epidermal skin barrier. (1)

Acetyl Dipeptide-1 Cetyl Ester is a synthetically produced, acetylated dipeptide ester. In cosmetics, it is primarily used as a skin-care well-aging ingredient, as it specifically helps to firm the skin structure. The dipeptide not only promotes the synthesis of elastin, but also supports the functional organization of elastic fibers. Studies have shown that it stimulates key structural proteins that are responsible for the mechanical stability of the tissue. ACETYL HEXAPEPTIDE-8

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a synthetic peptide and is often used as a neurocosmetic active ingredient. In studies (in vitro), it modulates components of the SNARE complex, whereby mimic micro-contractions can be attenuated - often described as "botox-like" (cosmetic, non-injectable mechanism)(1-2).

Application tests report a smoothing of fine lines. In the eye area, additional brightening and soothing effects were observed on tired-looking eyes. Manufacturer data show that the activity of tyrosinase—a key enzyme in melanin formation—can be inhibited (in vitro), thus contributing to a more even skin tone. (3-4)
