Coco-caprylate is an ester of (fatty) alcohols from coconut oil and caprylic acid (caprylate/caprate). In cosmetics, it acts as a skin-nourishing, smoothing emollient oil: it smooths the skin's surface and leaves the skin feeling soft and nourished. (1-2)
