To integrate exfoliation into your routine, follow these steps:

1. Cleansing: First cleanse the skin thoroughly.

2. Exfoliation: Apply the Active Acids Exfoliating Solution onto clean and, above all, dry skin.
3. Application time: When applying the product for the first time, it is important to ensure that it is only left on for a few minutes (3-5 minutes). For subsequent applications, the exposure time can be increased to a maximum of 10 minutes.
4. Rinse off: Rinse the exfoliant off with lukewarm water.
5. Moisturizing: Apply a moisturizer such as the Barrier Boost CPA Cream on.
6. Sun protection: Always use sun protection with SPF 50 during the day for the following days.

A fruit acid peel is a type of chemical peel that primarily uses alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), such as glycolic acid and lactic acid. These acids are often derived from natural sources like fruit, milk or sugar cane, which is why they are commonly referred to as 'fruit acids'.

Acids such as AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids), PHA (poly-hydroxy acids) and BHA (beta-hydroxy acids) work on different levels of the skin.
