Oleic Acid/ Ölsäure ist eine einfach ungesättigte Fettsäure, die als Emulgator die Bildung von Öl in Wasser Emulsionen ermöglicht. Ölsäure kann die Wundheilung unterstützen, in dem es Reparaturprozesse in der Haut anregt.(1) In höheren Konzentrationen kann Ölsäure auch die Permeabilität der Haut erhöhen und so beispielsweise das Eindringen von aktiven Wirkstoffen in die Haut verbessern.(2)
